Sending Multiple Files

If you want to send multiple files to a recipient, the easiest thing to do is to create a Zip archive. You can achieve this on Windows by right-clicking a directory. On Mac, control-click a folder. Both will give you the option to create an archive file which can contain as many files as you want.

Not Seeing The Progress Bar?

It has come to our attention that some users are unable to see the progress bar whilst uploading a file.

This may be due to the security settings you have in your browser.

If you have yours set to the highest level, returning it to the default setting could well solve the problem.

Faster uploads!

There is now less restriction on upload speeds: You should notice that your big files are sent to mailbigfile.com a little faster.

This is just a trial: if it causes our servers to meltdown, the restriction will have to return!

MIME type bug fix

Occasionally when downloading a file from mailbigfile.com the wrong content type was set. For example, if attempting to download a FLV video file using Safari, the MIME type was set to 'text/plain'. Consequently, Safari appended a '.txt' file extension to the downloaded file.

This bug has now been fixed: binary files such as FLV files will have the MIME type set to 'application/octet-stream'.
